SWIRE BULK RECRUITMENT

Role Title：Parcel Manager

 

Role Purpose

• To develop Swire Bulk’s presence in the Pacific bulk parcel trades.

• Execute combinations of spot and COA cargoes in order to developtrade flows for both unitized and dry bulk parcels.

• Develop relationships with relevant stakeholders support thebusiness development, to establish winning customer relationships and positionSwire Bulk as partner of choice.

• Grow up in reasonable short period to lead a trade line solely.

 

Role Accountabilities

• Assist Parcel Managers handling existing trade/voyages. (Fareast& S.E Asia to Med/Conti & NOPAC/WCSA/USG).

• Work closely with Operations, Port Captain to ensure the planningand execution of shipments is carried out seamlessly to ensure integrity ofcargo is maintained and customers are satisfied with Swire Bulk’s service delivery.

• Grow the cargo book, identify and develop new opportunities andcustomers that complement the existing Swire Bulk trade lanes in the Pacific.

• Together with Chartering Managers to generate USD 15M growth in parcellingrevenue in the region and secure business with 10 new core/key customers in 2022.

• Aligning the regional office proposition to the Swire BulkParcelling Responsibility for strategic relationships – know your customer,know your competition, know your market.

• Identify and execute cargo opportunities both against spot marketcargoes and longer-term base cargo COAs. In conjunction with Pacific managementgenerate a USD 0.5M operating profit for Swire Bulk in 2022-2023.

• Communicate with the regional and head office teams in the daily andweekly reports, identifying threats, opportunities on spot and COA cargoeswithin the Parcel Desks trading lanes both Pacific and Atlantic.

• Take maximum responsibility for the safety of myself and thosearound, challenging and stopping unsafe acts and behaviors or unsafeconditions. Comply with the Global Safety Standards, Polices and OperatingProcedures.

 

Key Qualifications & Skills

• University degree strongly preferred

• Minimum 3 years within General Cargos Parcel trades

• Unexpected problems solving skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English) and excellentdeveloped interpersonal skills

• Strong teamwork spirit

• Able to travel domestic and abroad

 

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of general cargo and China market.

• Financial and analytical skills.

• Strategic manner and ability to develop business opportunities andrelationships.

• Business Acumen, ability to understand and evaluate businessopportunities.
