CDB Leasing named the first 208,000DWT bulker

On June 24,2019, the naming and delivery ceremony of a new 208,000 DWT bulker was held in Taicang Yangzijiang Base.
 

It is the first in the line of ten ordered by China Development Bank Leasing from Yangzijiang Shipbuild Group. Co., Ltd. Feng Qian, CFO of CDB Leasing became the godmother of the new vessel.

Naming the CL RHINE RIVER, the vessel will be delivered to the charterer Cargill International and started its charter agreement from June 25.

Ai Yang, vice president of CDB Leasing said at the ceremony that we would like to maintain close relationship with Cargill International, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding and relevant parties, working together to promote China shipbuilding industry, shipping and finance development.

This is also the first ship CDB Leasing ordered for operating leasing.

Ship financial leasing is one of the major focus for CDB Leasing and having a modern and highly efficient fleet would play a dominant role. The new member of the fleet would boost the company’s operating capacity and promote steadily development of ship leasing business, Ai added.
